Successfully raise $877,195 for a Media & Athletics Center at Dos Pueblos High School and ensure installation and completion of the project.
You can make a lasting impact on the students and athletes at Dos Pueblos High School and the broader Goleta Valley community.
For decades, our stadium has been a place where the community gathers to cheer for our athletes, to celebrate milestones, and, in times of crisis, to come together in resilience. It is also the city’s designated emergency staging site during wildfires and other emergencies. Yet one essential piece is still missing: a modern facility that allows our students, coaches, and families to compete, create, and connect on equal footing with every other school in the region.
Dos Pueblos High School is the only school in the region without a modern press box or media facility. To complete our city- and district-approved stadium plans, we are launching the DP Media & Athletics Center fundraiser.
The total project cost is $877,195, to be raised through community support, and completion is targeted for the 2026/2027 school year. This is a once-in-a-generation chance to complete our stadium, honor our community’s resilience, and ensure every Charger’s voice is heard loud and clear on the field, in the press box, and in times of need.

Campaign Chair
Ken Newendorp
Serves as the public face of the campaign, coordinating with the team and donors.
Responsibilities: Sets strategic direction, leads the campaign team, attends events, and meets with major donors, meets with district and school administrators to ensure the success of the project.
Major Gifts Officer
OPEN
Focuses on securing significant donations.
Responsibilities: Builds relationships with high-net-worth individuals, conducts donor research, organizes personal meetings, and develops customized proposals for major gifts.
Campaign Committee
OPEN
Group of volunteers or board members who actively support the campaign.
Responsibilities: Assist with donor cultivation, make personal contributions, host events, and extend the campaign’s reach through their networks.
Development Director
OPEN
Oversees the planning and execution of the fundraising strategy.
Responsibilities: Manages donor outreach, maintains donor database, develops fundraising materials, and steers the day-to-day operations of the campaign. Works with the Major Gifts Officer & Donor Relations Coordinator to manage those relationships.
Grants Coordinator

Seeks out and applies for foundation, corporate, and government grants.
Responsibilities: Researches grant opportunities, prepares proposals, and manages relationships with grant-making organizations.
Communications/Marketing Manager OPEN
Manages all external communications for the campaign.
Responsibilities: Designs marketing strategies, handles social media, writes press releases, creates promotional materials, and ensures consistent branding.
Donor Relations Coordinator

Maintains relationships with current and potential donors.
Responsibilities: Manages donor acknowledgment, stewardship programs, and donor appreciation events.
Finance Manager/Accountant
OPEN
Manages the financial aspects of the campaign.
Responsibilities: Tracks donations, manages the campaign budget, ensures proper allocation of funds, and handles financial reporting.
Database Manager
OPEN
Manages the donor database to track donations and campaign progress.
Responsibilities: Ensures data accuracy, processes gifts, generates reports, and maintains records of donor interactions.
Volunteer Coordinator

Recruits and manages volunteers for the campaign.
Responsibilities: Coordinates volunteer activities, assigns tasks, and ensures volunteers are informed and appreciated.
Event Coordinator

Organizes fundraising events, such as galas or auctions.
Responsibilities: Plans and executes events, oversees logistics, works with vendors, and engages participants during the event.
Legal Advisor

Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities: Reviews contracts, advises on tax issues, and ensures compliance with fundraising laws.
